Workplace safety culture

Metinvest has enforced a set of fundamental labour protection and occupational safety guidelines throughout its operations since 2013. We call them our “life-saving rules”. Failure to follow them may lead to serious consequences for employees’ health and lives. Five of the 10 rules are the same for everyone, while the other five take into account the specifics of a particular production process.Non-compliance with the rules entails disciplinary liability, up to and including dismissal.

All Metinvest operations have boards showing the number of days that have passed without workplace injuries. In this way, we recognise our success in maintaining zero injuries throughout our operations and subsidiaries, and motivate each other to work safely.
