Metinvest strives to foster a positive culture of safety in the workplace. We expect all managers to take responsibility for subordinates’ safety and all employees to do likewise for the safety of themselves and their colleagues.
In 2008, the Group created a HSE Directorate and adopted a HSE Strategy that it updates regularly.
Metinvest has developed and introduced an integrated HSE management system based on international best practice and reviews its compliance with OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001 annually.
Metinvest adopted a HSE Policy and Principles in 2009. When developing the documents, we focused on the specifics of our vertical integration and based them on the best HSE practices at leading global companies. We continue to adopt new corporate standards to minimise injuries.
