Steel A36 analogues
Analogues of this steel are products of the same designation manufactured in accordance with the requirements of sea and river registers (Det Norske Veritas Germanischer Lloyd, Registro Italiano Navale, Bureau Veritas, Lloyds Register, Nippon Kaiji Kyokai, American Bureau of Shipping, Shipping Register of Ukraine, etc).
Application
High-strength steel A36 is used for making universal strip profile, hot-rolled plate, shaped and strip bars to be used for the manufacture of ship hulls and other floating facilities and structures.
Welding
Several additional welding techniques should be used to prevent the occurrence of cold cracks when welding high-strength A36 steel, including cascade, sections, double layer and split welding. Preheating is required.
